National Professional Laboratory of Dynamics and Strength and the Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defence Key Discipline Laboratory of Aircraft Structure Mechanics and Strength Technology

The Research Laboratory of Mechanics is a constituent of the National Professional Laboratory of Dynamics and Strength and the Commission of Science, Technology and Industry of National defence Key Discipline Laboratory of Aircraft Structure Mechanics and Strength Technology. It occupies an area of 3,600 square meters, and possesses equipment assets worth 30 million yuan.

As a research base and public testing service platform, the laboratory is interdisciplinary and open to graduate students. Each year, about 50 graduate students conduct research and complete their theses here. The research of the laboratory focuses on: mechanical behaviors analysis of advanced materials and structures, durability, damage tolerance and reliability evaluations; multi-disciplinary optimum design methods and applications; large structure static, dynamic mechanics and strength testing technology.

The laboratory is equipped with a series of high performance fatigue testing machines, multi-channel coordination loading systems, numbers of static testing machines, modal analysis systems. A variety of static-dynamic testing machines are also included, such as Brinell, Rockwell hardness gauges, torsion testing machines, pendulum hammer impact testing machines, and drop hammer impact testing machines. The laboratory possesses multiple-channel static-dynamic data collection and analysis systems, 21 nodes high performance computer group, and several kinds of high performance software, such as PATRAN/NASTRAN、DYTRAN、MARC、ABAQUS、ISIGHT,and SYSNOISE.

  • A non-contact extensometer CCD. Suitable for sheet and fiber strain measurement

It has high-accuracy strain axial extensometer,1000℃high temperature extensometer,1000℃high temperature resistance furnace ,1500℃high temperature resistance furnace,1500℃high temperature ceram compression fixture,1000℃high temperature extensometer.

It can be applied to normal temperature fatigue, high temperature fatigue, creep and creep/ fatigue interaction, fatigue crack expansion, fracture toughness tests and so on. It also has KIC、da/dN test software, COD extensometer is used to monitor crack expansion,microscope can also be equipped to inspect crack.

Structure static/fatigue mechanical property testing equipment

Loading with multi-channels, collocated with test hall of 1000 square meters and the counterforce wall. It is a complex system which is made up of 16 actuators. Static and fatigue tests under multi-channel loading can be proceeded for structures. The load of the actuator is between 20KN and 2000KN.

High Performance Clan Computer

Characteristics

Lenovo Deepcomp 1800 high performance computer has the feature of high performance, high reliability and high expansibility. The whole system includes 21 calculation nodes which contain 168 kernels, 1 administer node, 1 memory node,1 kilomega administer LAN, 1 calculation administer LAN and a video frequency switchover system. All the calculation nodes use Lenovo Foolproof R510 G6 server,each node has double switch intel 5300 tetranucleate handler ,which makes it great calculation performance so that it can be used for large-scale analytical calculation. With the use of large-scale analytical calculation,the calculation scale has been greatly raised, the calculation time of scientific simulation calculation has been cut down and research efficiency has been greatly improved.

Data Acquisition Analysing Equipment

Static data acquisition system:DH3815N data acquisition analyzing system can be used for multichannel in-line acquisition of strain signal; it has a sampling speed rate of 2Hz and 128 channels. It can be used for strain signal’s acquisition analyzing during static loading.

Static dynamic acquisition system:DH1817 data acquisition analyzing system,has a sampling speed rate of 128Hz and 16 in-line channels. It can be used for strain signal’s acquisition analyzing during high rate loading(such as fatigue/fracture).

High rate dynamic data acquisition system:DH5920 data acquisition analyzing system, has a sampling speed rate of 128Hz and 16 in-line channels,It can be used for transient strain data’s acquisition analyzing during high rate loading(such as impact/shoot).
